Ohio State’s undefeated start in the Big Ten was one of the best stories of the college basketball season. It came to a brutal end on Thursday night thanks to a buzzer-beater by Penn State’s Tony Carr that capped a frantic finish and gave the Nittany Lions a heart-stopping 82-79 win.
Down three in the final seconds, OSU forward Keita Bates-Diop hit a pull-up three to tie the game. Carr then raced down court to hit the game-winner as the clock expired, giving Penn State its biggest win of the season.
The win moves Penn State to 14-8 and 4-5 in conference. The No. 13 Buckeyes fall to 18-5, 9-1.
